Test suite for lab use
In order to facilitate R&D lab testing and feasibility studies, GateHouse has compiled a comprehensive Inmarsat BGAN SDR Test Suite with all the tools required to test and evaluate the possibilities associated with the BGAN waveform, and the operational concept for software defined radios in the future.
The Test Suite is for lab use only. Testing over-the-air requires Inmarsat permission, and a complete implementation of the BGAN SDR Waveform up to Inmarsat Final Type Approval is a separate project. GateHouse delivers a complete, integrated and tested Test Suite with these components:
- 1 BGAN Waveform Class 10 preloaded at a Spectrum SDR-4021 platform (see link below)
- 1 L-Band Converter
- 1 BGAN Physical Layer Tester (BPLT)
- 1 laptop with BGAN Network Emulator (BNE) license installed
- Optionally 1 BGAN Class 10 Antenna (required for on-air testing)
- Optionally 1 L-band RF front-end (required for on-air testing)
