Vessel tracking from satellite

Software solutions for asset tracking and surveillance. GateHouse

From Sea to Space and back again

GateHouse and exactEarth Ltd  have designed and deployed an international data processing and hosting centre that provides customers with controlled access to global vessel data received from AIS Satellites.

Satellite AIS involves launching specialised satellites that are capable of receiving AIS data from orbit. The position of the satellites in space allows them to cover vast areas of sea that are out of reach of coastal infrastructure. Advanced antenna design and data processing facilities ensure that the greatest possible value is obtained from the available signals.

exactEarth’s AIS satellite system

Integrated in the AIS satellite system, exactEarth has chosen to use GateHouse’s core backbone system, display systems, statistical systems and server for distribution of data. The core backbone system enables exactEarth to handle the configuration of the system, manage the users on the system, the distribution of data and the display systems. So the customers will be able to receive the Satellite AIS data as a stream but also to get access to the data via web display. Furthermore, exactEarth has chosen to use GateHouse’s strong statistical tool, enabling exactEarth and their customers to receive important insight and perform valuable statistical analysis.
